Welcome to my latest news-mail where ...

... I close 2010 with; annual highlights, news, and an advertisement.

Once again, let me say "thank you" for the referrals ...  I greatly appreciate your endorsement of the value that I bring to my clients.

Have a great Christmas & New Year break with your family and friends. Let’s all look forward to 2011, and the opportunities that a fresh year will bring.

Annual highlights

My annual highlight is always the continuing honour and privilege of being invited in by a client to work on resolving an issue or realising an opportunity.  For me, it simply doesn’t get any better than this, even after a 30-year consulting career with 300+ clients.  So many projects, each designed to deliver tangible value in a short space of time.

My clients are big and small, rich and poor, worried or elated (sometimes both) with one thing in common … a discernible need to engage independent outside help that can advise, mentor and implement.

I have worked with hundreds of amazing, genuine and sincere people at all levels over the years … people who “know their stuff” … people who also know what they don’t know, which is why they have invited me on-board.

This is my primary highlight, and I am proud of it.

But I have a secondary highlight.  My appointment by the Australian Government as an Enterprise Mentor for the Enterprise Connect - Enterprise Learning and Mentoring initiative - I very proud of this too.

News

University of Sydney, Centre for Continuing Education, www.cce.usyd.edu.au: my next ‘Operating a consultancy business’ course kicks off on Friday 11 March at 6.30 pm for six weeks – enrol here.

If you know anyone committed to embark on the consulting journey, or is struggling to ‘make a quid’, then please suggest they enrol.  This course has run 14 times over the past four years, with consistently good reviews.

But there’s more – my new ‘Positioning a consultancy business for greater success’ course kicks off for the first time on Saturday 5 March at 9 am for two weeks – enrol here.

If you know anyone who has been operating as sole practitioner consultant or in a boutique or in a large firm, and wants to be assured that their business is best positioned for success then this workshop-oriented course is a must.
